Fossdyke Navigation Canal

Brief description of fishery:

The Fossdyke Navigation Canal connects to the River Trent at Torksey and may possibly be the oldest Canals in England that is still in use.
It is popular with match anglers, predator anglers and pleasure anglers as well the odd Carp angler.
The Canal comes under the close season and so there is no fishing allowed between 15th March – 15th June inclusive.
Suggested fishing areas are;
  1. Golf course stretch at the rear of Carholme Golf course
  2. Woodcocks stretch (LN12BE)
  3. Colbournes stretch (LN!2BB)
  4. Fertiliser stretch (LN12FU)
  5. Saxilby Village (LN12PZ)
  6. Bridge section (rear of Saxilby Spice LN12LX)
  7. Roadside section (Near Lovell Landrovers LN12LX)
  8. Drinsey Nook, Gainsborough Road/ A57 junction

Due to the extensive length of the Fossdyke and places to fish, parking areas have not been specified.
Suitable parking and access is available for the stated stretches.
