warm weather

After talking with the EA and other clubs and association we went out and brought a brand new dissolved oxygen and temperature metre this has allowed us to come up with a new set of guild lines for the warmer weather and to be able to test our own waters as and when required.

 

These new guide line will come into effect on Friday the 18th of July and has enabled up to reopen the tidal trent.

 

Please follow the guide lines.

 

Warm weather restrictions

 

Still waters

 

Starmers

The sacking of carp is allowed for a maximum of 30 mins to aid in fish recovery.

 

Blue lagoon

No keepnets to be used and a 1kg limit per person per day on ground bait.

 

Dunholme pond

No keepnets to be used and a 1kg limit per person per day on ground bait.

 

Hartsholme park

No keepnets to be used and a 1kg limit per person per day on ground bait.

 

Rivers/fossdyke navigation

 

River witham main and upper

No keepnets to be use due to lack of flow and water quality

 

Foss

Wide mesh free flowing keepnets can be used for a maximum of 5 hours.

Strictly no commercial carp style keepnets.

 

Till

Wide mesh free flowing keepnets can be used for a maximum of 5 hours.

Strictly no commercial carp style keepnets.

 

Tidal river Trent ( Northclifton and laughterton)

 

Wide mesh free flowing keepnets that are pegged out can be used for a maximum of 5 hours.

Strictly no commercial carp style keepnets.

All carp and barbel are to be rested in the landing net before un hooking and they can be weighed and photos taken  before being rested  again until fit to be released.

 

Matches

Maximum match length if 5 hours

Keepnets must be wide mesh  river style no carp nets. Nets must be pegged out in shallow pegs and in a good depth of water.

4 meter nets have be recommended.

 

Silvers and barbel to be kept in separate nets.

All barbel over 5lb to be rested, weighed ,rested and released.

All carp to be rested, weighed, rested and released.
